Help: Can not get sound using XMMS

i had downloaded xmms application from page 4
it got installed well the player gets open too in my fon
but when i play a song, player shows playing the file,
but i cant here n e sound & most of the time application gets exit then i have to restars the fon to open the application

do i need to install all old version ??
the installation procedure has become confusing now after so much releases
pls help me
i m using 08p version, no superman or smart asst..

there was no need for this topic pal
as u open the application u see a slanted hour glass icon on the top left..tap on it..select configure... then select or unselect the option ''select headset as audio output'' to get the sound through the ear phones or the external speaker respectively..

oki thanks for the help after few try it git work

most of the time application gets exit
(sp. when i add the folder)
then i have to restars the fon to open
the application after few try it gets work
i think its little bugy but n e ways its working now
