Help: VR key not working!

hi my voice key is not working why? I press and release and nothing. but if i press and hold i get the voice recorder.

How old is the phone? Did it use to work ok?

You could have a faulty key press - hard to diagnose without seeing the phone!

Since the button is working, as it will got to record when being held, it may be your actual VR in the phone. Has it ever worked? What FW are you using?

Its weird as I had the same problem when I used 24xp30. But after that I flashed to 25p and now everything is fine

Note the first time that you click the VR button, it loads the VR app. it is not until the second time that you click it that you actually heard the voice asking you to speak a command. I assume you have clicked it multiple times? Does it say "Loading VR"?

Unfortunately the only way to load the VR app is via the VR button, so no easy way to test if app is working ok - or if hardware issue.

If this is a new problem, I would do Master Reset and, if required Master Clear - to try to force it back to working. Read problem solving area of FAQ for full instructions.

stupid me! I had to go in language settings and change from auto to english. everything works now!!
