    Default Try this...

Either reboot the phone once, or if that doesn't work, try unplugging it, going into the SETUP of the phone, go to USB SETUP and change it from MASS STORAGE to MODEM. SAVE - then go back and change to MASS STORAGE again. Also, make sure the memory card is still accessible to the phone before plugging it into the PC again, which should eliminate possibility of the memory card having gone bad...then see if Vista picks it up. I plug into and out of the PC all day and most of the time it won't release the mass storage mode, or especially sometimes if I go into MOTOROLA PHONE TOOLS or something and it swaps it to MODEM sometimes it won't go back to MASS STORAGE mode until I do that.

I have used mine in Vista with no problems, it appears that the driver is built in. If you do not have an SD card then you will not be able to use it as a mass storage device. If your SD card is damaged then perhaps you may get this in Vista...does the phone still allow you to access the SD card without error? You can try to remove and re-insert the SD card if you want and see if that helps. That's all I can think of at the moment as I don't use Vista very often and don't currently have access to a Vista machine...

I have the same problem, but with my ROKR E2.
It seems that the Vista Driver config is not diggin' the Mass Storage Driver that should be triggered by the UPnP.

Have you killed any services or your Vista is stock?

I have installed the USB drivers. Nuthin'
Went berserker and stripped out all the USB dependencies in the Device Manager. Bad move. Both my KB and mouse are USB based... Vista fails to re-install w/o my consent (where XP resolved the issue automagically when something like that happened, giving priority to controlling the PC first, resolving compatibility later)... so I think it's time for reinstall...

I'll tell ya when that happens.

For me it works just fine, both here at home (Vista Ultimate) and at work (Vista Business).

It installs under disk drives as "Motorola Phone USB Device".

This is the fourth time I formatted this PC and reinstalled Vista, and it always worked fine.
