What firmware to a1200i?

Hi all,

Simple question: what would you suggest as firmware to flash an a1200i? I already read a lot of threads but I would like to hear about from the people who have flashed.

24xp30_C2 is the best out there for A1200i

e.g. 19p-->24p-->25p-->30p path
it means that if i hsve for example 19p i can flash to 24,25,30 ok but what if i have 25 ? Then i can only flash with 30p and cannot return to previous one's ? I thought that it's not important and u can use all fw's in this path.

no man... you got that wrong!...
you can move back and forward amont FW just make sure you use C2 track in case you have A1200i if its a generic A1200 stay away from C2 track and go with any hybrid FW.

A1200i only can be flashed with C2 (19p-->24p-->25p-->30p-->24xp30)

Ok, newbie question: what is the C2 track?

With this firmware, will the simcard lock be released? I will be able to use with any other phone operator, right?

No. There's a thread over there when ravefolk tried to remove the SIMlock flashing a new firmware and failed. You'll probably have to look elsewhere to remove the SIMlock your phone.

R532C2 - A1200R - newer version (appeared Feb 2007). Only has 1 supported path:
- 19p-->24p-->25p-->30p path

this is the worst, 24 could be good but next aren't good because of battery... and 24 has problems with mpkg

R532 or R532H2 - Original A1200 : It has 2 supported firmware paths:
- 38p-->4xp-->5xp path (eg 43p, 46p, 59p)
- 03p-->06p-->08p-->12p path

so here too, i can flash to 12p and go back to 03p or from 5xp to 38 and sth like that ?

so maybe this fw's with Spanish/Portuguese/French Language Support
are best, but disadvantages are not listed.

So hm there is no one perfect fw, but what about monsters ?

So its hard too choose one almost perfect fw...
It is possible to do backup of software ? Flash&Backup don't support ming unfortunately

change 4 icons in main screen
languages Spa, eng, por, fre

good cam quality
webcam mode (aint working yet)
no chino stuff
default icons
default boot logo (motorola)
fast response
Edge can be enable via seem edit

I have tested all FW availables for A1200i so far this is the best one... C2 is the track that came with "most" (not to say all) of A1200i for latin america... so thats why H2 track is not compatible with this FW.

My A1200 is not A1200i version and I have FW: R532H2_G_11.20.08PB (so it's .08P version in H2 path) an I can't decide to what version I'll go !!!

Most people, here in Brazil, are using 24xp or 24xpp. With this in mind, I've downloaded version 24xp30_C2.....

As I can see, this version have all I whant in my A1200: good batt life, better cam, fast response, plus others things... Don't mind if have portuguese or not... But I'll can installs pkg ? Superman makes the trick ?
