My A1200 is Frozen after Theme Install

One more alternative I found accidentally, luckily, was remove the memory card and restart the phone. If it takes a while to boot up, let it. If it boots, then you will have all garbled blocks in place of the previous skin but you can see the phone things, immediately go to setup and put the default skin on. Reboot once to make sure everything is alright.

It worked for me dunno why, maybe I just got lucky

IF not, then you need to flash it.

EDIT: Oh sorry, I thought E6, but nevertheless you can try.

i used new skin & splash installer for theme, i thing there is no problem on the skin installer ,may be on the theme file (vista like box - Zhouxiangyu) which i download from Moto Theme Beta Fourm.

Also noted ur comments on the title , for future posts i will use the meaninfull title ,thanks .

also i tried "Rokitrokr & rajarshi method , but it didn't work ...finally i flashed my phone ( i followed the sticky method) ..now its working perfectly with any probelm

I just went to turn my phone on, and it stuck on the opening screen and wont do anything...

I took the battery out and put it back in and it keeps freezing everytime at the same place !

Sorry I am freaking out, for 1. im afraid my ming is dead, 2. its my only phone I have no way to contact anyone...


I tried plugging in my phone to my computer and it makes a sound like it connected but it doesnt come up in my computer...

Did you do anything to it recently? Flash it? add a theme? add a piece of software? anything at all?

i was trying to go back to a theme that i had been using for the last few months... for the last week i was trying out a new one and just trying to go back to the old one and apparently i screwed it all up !

from what im reading my only thing to do now is flash it... right? ? ? i hope i can figure that out..

Boy...I dont know of any other fix that that, unless you were lucky enough to have USB LAN mode set on the phone...and know how to telnet.

If anyone else knows a better way of fixing...please post!

The reason this happened is the phone ran out of mem.

everything seems to be working except i gotta put back most of the things that got erased

you should definately use eakrins installer in the future, should help you avoid the need to re-flash and re-install everything when changing themes....

now on u wouldn't be under-confident or hesistant in experimentin on ming
stil.. i think u used wrong method of theme installation like lin installation..dont do that again..
