A1200E 29p with EDGE enabled - now available on CCMove

A1200 "E" firmware 29p Hong Kong version (presumed generic) is now available on CCMOVE. Supposedly, it has EDGE enabled by default...try at your own risk...I have not tested it.

P.S. If anyone is testing, please do me a favor and let us know if there are any network performance difference between this version with EDGE enabled by default and previous firmwares that require seem edit. I'm trying to figure out if there are any subtle differences in the seem edits that differentiates between the different "classes" of EDGE. Also, I wonder if there are network performance differences between true A1200E and A1200 that were flashed and seem-edited to have EDGE.

I'm pretty positive that is does have EDGE by default. If you go to the Motorola web site in China, they have 2 models of the Ming. One says A1200 and the other says A1200 EDGE. I don't speak Chinese, so I can't tell you all the specs, but you can check it out for yourself.

For some reason, on my computer, the word "EDGE" is not written in Chinese symbols, so it does not come up as questions marks.

Can anyone who speaks Chinese confirm this?

Also, I have no idea how long they've had this phone. Could be old news. I for one, have no idea.
