    many thanks to you guy!!
i was a bit late to see the f/w uploaded for greek and italian users...
finally i flashed the new one... also flashed with sdhc support.... until now, no anymore out of memory...
phone works fine... the only problem is that greek support is followed by portuguese title -> but not really a matter... good work!!

    Thanks us for testing.
    sjmosdj,
about the name of keyboard (for italian it's france) this was the only possibility to make a separate full keyboard with iTap (for me important) working.
Other solution can be remap english keyboard (for greek removing accented for greek), but not a good solution.
I like full egnlish emea keyboard (with accented and iTap english).
I will see for removing the name (france for me and portuguese for you).
About fingerpad I keep inside international fingerpad, but you can replace for fingerpad greek (/usr/data_resource/preloadapps/qtapps) also without rw command.
You can also insert greek voice if you wish for time speaking (foxalarm)...

    Hi,
I keep disabled Screen3, so just OFF and save (you can also manually edit or rename ezx_screen3.cfg).
For theme and skin use Skininstaller (already inside).
Simply press and hold file .pskn and select open with Skins.
I post for you default1_skin.pskn (just an empty setting for restore standard theme).
Keep this file in your SD (only remove .zip extension)

    @simosdj and italian greek tester
I fixed the italian greek word for keyboard (just edit .qm with qmpare).
Not so easy edit for greek... it was difficult translate so check image if it's correct.
So we need replace these files inside /usr/language/string/ (el and it)
    Just copy inside.
For this we need type rw command (ekonsole, telnet, or with samba but before rw command)
    After replacing you need reboot.

Done, I opened ekonsole typed rw and enter. After that I substitued the files el and it via samba. Rebooted... I have the right keyboard selecting english keyboard... is it that right?

Hi all (and thanks a lot),
    @ embryo
    Yes, correctly.
My update was only for italian and greek version (for see italian and greek correctly keyboard name, rather france or portuguese, when you select these keyboard).
For italian you need select :
    Set imput:
first language: Italiano(fr) so itap italian and italian keyboard
second language: English so english itap and english keyboard
(so VR italian will start, you can always rename _italian if you wish don't start)
or if you just select under Language:
Italian (fr) (italian fr it's just italian strings renamed) VR italian will not start.
    @shantanu,
    thanks

    @all

    About kernel sdhc:
firmware come with 3 block device ready for 3 partitions (/dev/mmca1 /dev/mmca2 /dev/mmca3) but if you need you can create more.
Now I will search explain with my bad english...
For first partition you can also make a 4gb fat32 partions (maybe for 4gb sdhc or 3,9gb and 100mb for swap partition).
But after partition your sdhc like fat32 you need make this:
If you wish keep 1 partition 4gb fat32 make this (also with ekonsole):
    fdisk /dev/mmca (enter)
type p (so you can see partition table)
    type t (for change id)
    insert 6 (FAT16)
    type w (for write)
Mobile will see like fat16 partition but if you just insert in external usbreader your sdhc system will see correctly fat32.
If you keep a 8gb shdc you can make so:
make 3 partitions (fat32-fat32-swap) with gparted
After this with ekonsole or telnet:
    fdisk /dev/mmca (enter)
type p (so you can see partition table)
    type t (for change id)
    type 1 (for first partitions)
    insert 6 (FAT16)
    type w (for write)
    Reboot.
I attach my startup1.txt for my 8g sdhc (you can also rename for startup.txt or autorun.txt placing in your sdhc or startup2.txt if you place this file under "phone").
    p.s.: image 1 it's before image 2 it's after change id.

    Default problem with sd

    hello marco!

sorry to be late to answer...
I tested your files but i think problems still happen..

tag "ελληνικό πληκτρολόγιο" was finally appeared when i used lib_el.qm into pt-br file string renamed to lib_pt-br.qm. I thought that i should use all greek *qm to pt-br file renamed as before. Of course it didn't work,

and sdhc keeps with bugs for me. Many times out of memory when for example, i try to open a large pdf or when xmms plays with flip closed. And mass storage doesn't work for cards >2g.

When i had epinter's f/w mass storage could work. I don't know why does this happen now.. (i.ve followed your instructions about how to format mmca and still not found under windows or linux)

if you have time try to find a solution some day plz...
    keep your good working!!!

    Hi simosdj,
I think all working fine for greek lanuage.
After replacing the files I updated you need under Setup:
    Languade: Greek
Setup input: 1st language -> Greek (prt) 2nd language -> English
Please let me know if ok for you.

    About sdhc:
about memory this is for picseledit applications and not the kernel.
you can use standard picsel for open pdf.
you can also make a separate swap partition (I maked) or just use a swap file (activating and desactivating with Assistant).
I tested a lot of applications (fbreader, pictureflow, ecc.) all working.
About mass storage (only working with epinter kernel) I know this problem.
But for me this is not a problem because a never use mass storage (keep trash file when you use), I prefear Samba (working perfect).
    Let me know.

ok finally got 8gb sdhc card & flashed jffs2 fw. now for review.. flashing sdhc kernel ws little headache bcos it failed in rsd lite v4.3.2 . it just couldnt switch to mbm mode. i even put manually into mbm mode but failed again. then i remembered reading somewhere you have to give a gap of sometime between successive flashings. i left 12hrs gap & this time flashed with radiocomm (bcos lack of access to winxp.. mine is old laptop with win 2000 runs everything except rsdlite) 1st lesson learnt. atlast meatier part i inserrted 8gb directly to ming.. card showed up.. couldnt browse inside.. then tried mystuff of assistant. it said to format the card..i formatted & got almost 3.8Gb fat 32 1st partition working (rest as unallocated space )..that to rw. i was wondering wat all d was fuss about just wen troubles started.. it didnt work in normal file manager or obviously thru browser, camera , whichever app. requiring file manager for file opening. rest in next post
