Novin's 11.56.11R version 1.5

hi novin, i just flashed to your fw and i am having the language detection problem that you had. particularly vietnamese and chinese. i tried taking out my sd card but the problem persists. thats the only problem i'm having with the fw so far, everything else is great. thanks for making this fw and hopefully you have the time to solve the language detection issue. good luck.

No... no firmware based on 11.56.11R can support RTL language support... the only firmware that supports this cannot run QT applications because the whole application base and QT libraries have been changed by motorola to support RTL display.
With my firmware u can read and write persian but everything display LTR....

I have began working on version 2.0 and compiled version alpha of it... after giving it a try myself for a few days i might make it available to testers... lots of bugs to be expected at this stage anyways...
To give an idea of what it is gonna look - it is actually based completely on epinters 42Lp7 version 2.0 rather than 11.56.11R using most of its binaries and libraries... a few have been changed with 11.56.11R... interface is similar to 11.56.11R version 1.5 and most applications are also replaced with my 1.5 firmware.... languages have been added as well... including greece this time.

I'm sorry if this is should be obvious, but after reading through http://www.motorolafans.com/forums/a...our-a1200.html and this thread I am still unclear on two things:

1) Can your 1.5 version be flashed to a plain a1200 (08p)?
2) Would flashing this version limit the phone to tri-band?

hi novin, all the languages appear in the selection list. they all work when selected except for vietnamese and chinese. when i select vietnamese, any letter with an accent appears as a box. and when i select chinese, all the the characters appear as a box.

it appears this may just be an isolated issue since no one else has reported it. as well, it is not a big issue for me because my primary language is english. don't sweat it if you are too busy. i appreciate you hard work on this firmware. thanks again!

trying my best buddy.... right now everything working without bugs.. I must say i am impressed !
I will add more features now... it is not much different from version 1.5 except it has all the features of L7 base such as widgets etc + epinters features sans startup... still using my autorun folder because it is more user friendly.... I am facing a huge space limitation for adding features thats the only problem....

Thanks for the details. I figure it is bug... in the font that I am using chinese characters are not included... u can put a chinese enabled font in /mmca1/autorun/font until i solve this issue in version 2.0
