Dear friends,

Initially, I really want to thank you for your patience, specially for those who were optimistically waiting for the new firmware, while I myself was not that confident for releasing a new firmware!!

Actually I was really busy all the these times and really couldn't work on a firmware,.
Anyway... Now here I'm to introduce you the latest version:

Amins_Green_Persian Gulf (Release Candidate)
I have tried to do my best to fix all the reported bugs and make it faster and neater. This version comes with two language packs:


1- Persia (which comes with Persian keyboard and the ability of sending Persian SMS With an interesting font for reading LTR Persian messages more convenient than ever!)
2- Samba (With full Portuguese Keyboard and common European Language Packs)

In order to enable the 1st one to send Persian message- while its original messaging was not capable of that- I had to make a lot of modification on it, as a result it is not as fast as the Samba version, but it is fairly fast to use (I myself currently using this version). So, If you want to use English language, it is recommended to use the Smba version.

Finally new beta version: Amin's_16R_GREENNEONA__8.24.2009__BETA 3.1.8
Some new features:

- Can be installed in A1200R(tested), A1200E(tested) and A1200i(not tested)

- GPRS problem is solved.
- Automatic swap(create 32mb swap and lunch it on startup, could be disabled with Lina)
- New Alarm clock (FoxAlarm) with full English features and voice (thanks to shazad24 )
- Built in OGG format support(thanks to marcox)
- Faster than ever with the least memory usage so far (47% on startup!)
- 3 Themes with my own modification
- Multiple JAVA, 2 way installation native mpkg support and pkg by Lina
- Auto detect and extract zip, rar, tar ,... archives (if you have forgotten the password, don't worry about, it will make it!)
- supporting SDHC MMC up to 8GB (with partitioning that is supported mmca1 to mmca4) (kernel ia compiled by BJDC@LINUX)

- Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, French language support with EMEA keyboard
- and like before Picsel viewer + edit , Photo editor from A1600 and new Opera


it takes me a long time to optimize this firmware to be a great one, please try it and let me now how it is

Hello all! as you can see, I'm back again! sorry for late but I was too busy and tiered so I couldn't finish my job(new firmware) on that time.

So... Here you are, my latest firmware: Amin's Green PG16R - BETA 2

BEFORE INSTALLATION:

1- because of using the new kernel, this firmware would not detect under 1GB Memory cards, so if you are currently using this kinda
memory card, gotta apply this patch (actually you gotta flash to it, after extracting)to roll back the kernel to 2.3.8 version, by then it will detect your MMC. (thanks to shantanu)
2- One of the advantages of this new kernel is supporting 4GB MMC. And for more than 4GB (e.g. 8GB) capacity, as you know, FAT16 cannot work with more than 4GB, but theoretically, it's possible to divide the MMC to 2 or more partition, as I know). 4GB MMC has been successfully tested with some of users and works, but it hasn't been tested yet for 8GB MMC, I think.
3- It's currently comes with English and Farsi keyboard (LTR) and will include more languages in final release.



ISSUES:

- can't access GPRS&EDGE services
- There is a minor bug that I've found, the Icon for video files(3gp, mp4) is missing so video files appears with ugly icon(will fix in final release)
