I maked a post in linuxming firmware.
Standard 2gb sd will work with sdhc kernel (also 1gb samsung).
If you planning test linuxming you can make 3 partitions for your sdhc 8gb (I posted an example).
For 4gb you don't need statup, autorun.txt script if you make just a fat32 partition.
Maybe you need startup if you make also a swap partition (swapon /dev/mmca2)
You can also manually activate manually swap partitions with ekonsole.
Please tell me what you are planning.
With my bad english maybe more easy make an example with images.

I have some question about flashing to your e16Xr_a1200ER_elite firmware.Now my firmware is :

R532_G_11.00.53P
BP: R532_G_11.00.53PPB

Did i have to flash first to C2 track like Captivus C2 (R532C2_G_11.30.24p) and next to your firmware?Or i can just flash to e16Xr_a1200ER_elite?

Hi,
you can try flash directly and if problem, before flash amin's extreme elite (for BP C2 tracks) and after this firmware or linuxming.
But, why not linuxming?
There is better camera, more applications, foxalarm and fingerpad preinstalled, and you can write in the whole.

I just own an used A1200i, and want to "update" it with this FW, but because the date and size of this topic, I need to ask some questions (I made a search, but no answer).

My A1200i is:

2. According the same topic above, this FW has Portuguese, but on first post you say ENGLISH and ITALIAN only. How I can get Portuguese in this FW (Brazilian Portuguese, if possible)?
3. If I can't use this FW, wich one you recommend? My needs is about long battery life, eBuddy/Opera, play music and one or two (maybe three) games...

well you can use this FW on your A1200i as this is HYBRID so this should work on any A1200 in the mean time you can get Portuguese if you are good at mounting things at boot, I mean that if you can mount Portuguese on default language that will work.
may be you will require to mount a font too that supports Portuguese language characters

well I have no idea which FW will be good according to your specs I am using my own modded FW which I will release soon ...

well if you are familiar with Linux and its tools

then create a script with following code

#!/bin/bash
#change path according to your requirements
FONT="path/to/font"
LANGUAGE="path/to/string/folder/with/.qm/files"

#comment the mount command that is not needed by you
mount --bind "$LANGUAGE" /usr/language/string/en-us
mount --bind "$FONT" /usr/language/fonts/AMCSL.TTF

download the .zip files from attachment and copy it to phone memory (do not mount string from SD card or it will hang when you will try to connect to PC)

let me know if you are not familiar with Linux

How I can paste it?

trying to replace language with pt-br that i provided you can't do that the cramfs is mounted as read-only

you need to mount the string folder using that script

copy that string folder to phone memory(use file manager to copy pt-br to mystuff)

then change the address of string dir in script and just put the script in autorun directory
and then restart the phone the language will change

No, no... Don't get mad with me... sorry.

I'm not trying to replace any lang, just trying to ADD the pt-br. And your script don't work...

I saved your script in /ezxlocal/download/mystuff with name startup2.txt, and nothing. Tried to paste the code at end of ezx_user/download/appwrite/setup/ezx_boot.cfg, and nothing.

Then, using telnet, I typed

mount --bind /ezx_user/pt-br /usr/language/string/en-us

but it only replace the word "English" with "Portuguese" in settings. The result is 'Portuguese' appears at Setup -> Language, but even if I change it, the lang still English!

I have found a .SBF that adds PT-BR (like a patch, it's applyed AFTER flash, is not a complete FW), but the translate is not complete: some parts still English (like "Charging" instead "Carregando"), the prediction and dictionary don't work, and Assist don't open anymore. So I flashed again with this FW and everything is OK - in English.

So, I think I need a way to paste the PT-BR in the 'script' folder, so the PT-BR will appears in Setup and I'll can change it.

Anyway to make cramfs as read-write? Maybe in samba.conf?
