According to Ramy Levi from opensource.motorola.com, there will not be an official update of the A1200 firmware. So, we need to prepare it ourself and transfer / port the A1600 one to our phones.

Also please, any US Motofan member, we need your help in contacting Motorola and ask for the source code. Check out this:

Woooh it sounds amazing, I was quite away during few months because I didn't see any improvements about firmware but now it's done, A1600 is here and quite ready as I can See ^^.

Well I hope you'll give us some ways to put our lovely A1200 to A1600 firmware .

As I can see it's possible to put mpkg software, java run , and some stuffs runs well.

Questions : Does Linloader work, or any other soft' that don"t need Java ?

Is it possible to flash it in the regular mode with RSDLite ?

It's very exciting to hear that, my ming 'll be able to live more months with me \o/.

Can anyone do a post where he explained the advanced one of the transfer of A1600 firm. to a A1200.

Is it ok for a newbie to flash our a1200 with a A1600 firmware ? Is it done ?

No but you can use WhiteMing2 which has this firmware ported to the a1200,its a mix of this an 14r. I found this out the hard way flashing to whiteming2 changes your BPflex to 14r which is a E firmware whats wierd about this is you can flash back to a C2 firmware. Which they say cant be done i jumped back to EE1 with no problem only thing is that i cant get 14r off so EDGE is not working. If you have any Q: about whiteming2 post them here cause this is a little off topic lol...
