Im going to try this out when i get home.
All thanks need to go to Cynique over at motofans.ru for this excellent firmware. It's a combination of R541_G_11.52.13R, the Russian Firmware, and R541L7_G_11.00.16R, the Brazilian Firmware. In my opinion it's a pretty good combination.
Summary
• Quad-Band - Yes
• Edge - enabled by default
• 4 USB modes: Modem, Mass Storage, USB net, Webcamera
• Battery Life - Average (1-1.5 days)
• Speed - Average
• Camera Quality - OK
• Camera Photo Autosave - Yes (Flip open only.)
• Voice Response accuracy - Decent. (From American viewpoint)
• Volume - Needs volume fix.
• Internet Connectivity speed - Edge!
• All 4 shortcuts changeable on home screen - Yes
• Languages - English and Russian
• Screen 3 - Yes
• Video - up to 352*288
• Run multiple java apps at same time - Yes
• Can install MPKG, Superman, etc.
• Realplayer - All equalizer presets WORKING!
Advantages:
• R541 Edge track firmware with ability to install Native programs (MPKG!)
• Run Multiple Java Apps
• Telnet and Samba start automatically
• 5 Skins (Black Ming, Classic Black, Atlantic, Onyx Black, Onyx White)
• Realplayer with equalizer presets working
• Daylight Savings Configuration
• Contacts, Recent Calls, RealPlayer, Camera, and Bluetooth without opening flip.
• Speakerphone works with flip closed
• Configurable time for holding the stylus
• New wallpapers
• New ringtones
Disadvantages:
• Volume Fix needs to be applied.
• Bug that happens when you try to view the list of Voice Commands, it does nothing, and kicks you back to the Home Screen.
• I had to do a Master Clear to get the World Time to work out of the box.
• The Ringer Styles Menu in Setup, once you get to where you choose which ringtone you want, the ringtones load REALLY (+15 sec.) slowly.
Original Thread: Here.
Download: Here.
Notes: It seems that if you change the stylus holding time to Medium or Fast it will speed up the OS.

can someone please put this on 4shared so we all can have a new download link, the original link doesn't work.
I finally found a link to the BlackMing SE FW, this one seems slightly different from the one linked here. I flashed it last night. Still testing it. So far here are some results.
Battery life seems good
Quad band (but RF is weak)
Edge works
New startup and shutdown gifs
Menus are quick
Screen 3 works (but useless)
Voice Command (not sure, I never use it anyway)
Volume Good
Homescreen shortcuts 4 changable
BlackMing Skin and Icons are excellent
Camera is very good (video too)can be used with flip shut by pressing the camera button
Bluetooth works good
WonderMoto and MegaLauncher work
QEZX Player doens't work although I can't get it to work on any of the E track FWs
WinAmp (EXMMS Player) player works
Java installs unsigned jar files
Four skins BlackMing, Onyx Black, Onyx White, Standard Black
Alot of new wallpapers and ringtones
Has the same problem as Amin's Persian-Gulf El Durado when selecting ringtones there is a painfully slow delay.
FM Radio needs headset to be plugged in
Talking phone has four selections Menu, Contacts, Digits, and Message Readouts
4 USB modes Modem, Mass Storage, USB Net, Webcamera
Backlight setup, the backlight intensity slider doesn't work although it seems to be set at the brightest setting
Has a new Customizeed Key selection, not sure what it does yet didn't seem to change anything
Menu button on Left side of phone will work with flip closed, can select any of the 4 screen shortcuts
Stylus hold time adjustable no
I like just about everything about the FW except for the weak RF and the slow ringtone selection screen.
