:Fixed:
Event date bug seems to be fixed.
Phone is faster to respond to tasks.

:Buggers:
1. FM Radio still requires headphones...
2. Track switching takes a min in RealPlayer still..

3. Settings > Home Setup > Only 3 of the 4 are changable.. You can't change the Alarm...

4. Ringtone selection, going to mmc for audio works, but when you wanna Open something before Inserting it, it takes forever to load up RealPlayer and play.

5. Recent Calls List. Persistant from EE2 rev1. When you use the phone to look at the calls list, and enter one of the three options, when you back out of it, the Recent calls box is empty with the Cancel button on the bottom.

6. Calander Events, Dates are fixed, but the Subject and Location texts are still greyed out instead of showing in white text.

7. One gripe with Calander is it starts at 0am instead of 12am.. Which 0am would make sense for 24hr format, but not 12hr format.

8. Another gripe, tho more I guess personal opinion(?). Default Sort method for files is Time, I much prefer Name sorting.

Okay, after "using" the phone, and now being locked out of it... lol There are some more serious bugs on mine..
First, call handling is s-l-o-w.. Tonight I got a phone call, unanswered, and a voicemail, when I went to check, the touchscreen was dead and/or wayy outta wack as to make the phone unusable and/or haunted when you tap it. It's now slow to respond to anything now, when I can get it to do something with a button. I've tried turning off/on and even pullin the battery while the thing was on/off. Nadda. It froze on my once also when I initally tried to use it.

Next, the Alarm. I set #1 to a time, and it went off okay, I reset it to 15min later since I gave myself time and when it went off that time, all it did was show the screen and vibrate, when I opened the flip, the screen changed, tho not cleanly, it overlayed, and then froze while vibrating.. Had to kill it to reset it..


On the plus side, the VR kicks ass compared to every other fw I've been thru. It actually works pretty well!

Can't test anymore now as it's useless.. Will try to fix before I head to bed and post more tomorrow..

1- I think this is not bug, that was a feature in former firmware.
2- If you open real player and open a playlist, there is no latency for switching tracks(about 1~2 second), but if you directly click on mp3 or video track on file manager, it takes maximom 6 second to open a file, why? I think that's because of new codecs and decoding algorithms used in realplayer and caused it's amazing clarity and quality audio outpot.
3- my friend told me about shortcut, but I don't now it's okay in my phone, maybe that's becaused of restoring my data with Lina, and it's restore former setting for shortcut, I am not sure about...
4- same reason for 3
5- I did not see same issue, it works perfectly for me.
6- Because you won't define any location before, If you define a location for a subject, next time you'll find location button is white(not disable) and it will list your defined locations.
7- It is editable, go ahead Main menue -> Time -> left menue -> setup -> dayligh saving setup -> "start time" and "end time are editable".
8- come on man! you can personalize and change it!
9- As I tested, it takse 2 second to response in flip answer, please explain about alarm and vibrate, I doesn't took it!

1, FM Radio worked peachy on EE1
2, Okay, I'll buy that one, but it's a real annoyance since that's what's probably affecting the call ring and answer time..
3, I didn't restore anything buy the main.db and mms's, and the first shortcut was not changable from alarm.
4, real player again, huh.. hmmmmm
5, I'll try to get a screen cap..
6, Okay, that way I didn't try I don't think
7, Why would daylight savings effect the calander?
8, okay, ya got me on this one.... lol
9, I'll try to explain better once I revive my phone..

What all did you change between rev1 and rev2? pm if you like

My phone is unresponsive now. I flash ee1 or ee2 fine, turn it on and can't do anything with the screen... Disassembly time again.. argh!

i restored a backup with lina n after that lina dissapeared from menu appls dont know if its a bug or wa??

Great firmware on the Edge side. I wish there was Screen 3. I wish the battery icon was different. I'm going to test it this week. I'll be on the road so there will be no chance to flash it to another firmware. I'll report back with any other bugs I notice. Great job amin! Only a few minor bugs so far.

*Edit* amin I like how this firmware has the same firmware version that I had on my phone originally, R541_G_11.56.11R. Any chance of you uploading that?

That problem bacaused of Super assistant backup function(smart assistant has the same problem), It revisited and optimized by me in Lina 2.0)

To solve this problem:

1- Download and install eakin's Backup & Restore Now from here
2- Create backup with this aplication.
3- Master clear and master reset your phone in main menu.(now Lina, NetCTRL and Console should appear.
4- Restore your phone with "Backup & Restore Now".
5- create backup with Lina and sure you never get the same problem.
6- As now you can use Lina backups with no problem and you can unistall "Backup & Restore Now".

Because some modules in Persian gulf EDGE taken from this firmware, you should see "Aminx_Persian-Gulf" in first line, true?
BTW, would you use "Amin's Persian-Gulf EDGE" instead of "Amin's EE II Edge" , pls?

Great Job Amin! I just still can't edit the Vibrate Profile. I don't like the screen clicks and button sounds enabled while in vibrate mode. Is there a way to silent it while in vibrate. Also is there anyway to move the Tower and Date info on the main screen lower (closer to the shortcut icons) and enlarge that text only.
