Try it and see. It should be okay to do so. Pay close attention to what the original seem says before you replace it so you can change it back if necessary.

Well I posted this on the E6 thread, but the seem edit worked fine on 53P Generic and 46P Generic, not able to test it. But it does seem faster.

the bluetooth headset is a personal problem. Check your headset... Sometimes you can update the firmware etc.. But i havent had problems with multiple headsets.

i did it, it works haha Baller! generic 53p version came with the phone.. the little green is is totally cool... tho i cant tell if im browsing any faster.. i guess it is tho... whuts a good site to check bandwith

OK, I testd the connection one more time with BT Modem
I tether my A1200 to my laptop and created a bluetooth dial-up connection

This way I was able to access the entire internet like log on msn/skype or check pop e-mail accounts

Anyway...the result is the same, stable download speed around 10K/s to 12K/s..

Can someone help me please, When I plug my A1200 to the USB and start RadioComm 10.3.1. It doesn't find my phone is there a setting in the program or phone that has to be changed.

Make sure your phone is in "USB Modem" instead of USB Mass Storage mode, under USB Setup section.


Do you have to have a 3G SIM to enable EDGE? I was trying radiocomm manually and the seems edits kept failing.

*edit* maybe just need a reboot as Radiocomm was just installed... the edge.tcs file worked flawlessly, I have an E now on an older 64k sim, and cingular... 1200R 24p China Mobile flash installed.

How can you tell what type of SIM you have? Didnt' even know there was different SIM cards....

The card it's self will say "3G" but apparently it doesn't matter, because I have an older sim that I got when I was forced to merge to Cingular from AT&T over 2 years ago, and it works fine... Here are my results of my desktop using my new Edge service connected to a known speed demon. I pulled 18-19kBps steady which is pretty impressive...




Now compare that with my cable modem and it looks a bit shabby. but hey, I'll take 20kBps (Cable Modem does 17Mbps or 2MBps)
