any idea what F/W the a1200e is running and where i can get a copy to flash to?
It worked for me too, i can confirm that not only i have the EDGE "E" but my browsing is faster now.
My firmware is MISCHKAS custom 8P
There is no A1200E firmware available now, just do the seem edits.
Has anyone experienced decreased battery life after enabling Edge?
It may just be me, but it seems like my battery is dying MUCH faster (even when the phone is sitting there idle).
Anyone else having problems like this?
So far my phone seems to be working just fine after the mod...
Now that EDGE is taken of, I have only 3 things left on my wishlist...
1. DST Fix - Don't you think that Motorola should do something about the updated DST schedule?
2. ActiveSync Suport - Looks like 25P already has this feature, not sure if it actually works or not though...
3. Bluetooth Headset Problem - It happens almost daily, my A1200 would drop the connection with my HS820 for no reason. The headset would still be turned on but A1200 just won't pick it up. If I power off the headset then power on, my A1200 still won't make connection. Only fix is to disable then enable BT or delete then search for the headset again...
See this thread for a potential DST fix. http://www.motorolafans.com/forums/v...?p=73732#73732 I can't get it working yet, but that's more because I can't get ANY startup.txt file working yet. Mischka and I did figure out what needs to be changed and he figured out how to change it. It works for him, but not for me. You could try it if you like and let us know.Originally Posted by justthinking
I haven't run into a problem like that with Bluetooth yet, so can't help you there.
Can someone help me please, When I plug my A1200 to the USB and start RadioComm 10.3.1. It doesn't find my phone is there a setting in the program or phone that has to be changed.
just thought of something...for those of us that are using T-Zone or T-MobileWeb...
Don't we go through proxy either port 8080 or 9021?
If we are going through proxy...then speedtest won't be accurate...
Anyway...by repeatly download same file from same site...
I got the speed of about 10K-12K/second stable...that translate into around 100k/s...
Any word if this edit is possible on A1200(i)?... dont want to break my phone...
Makes sense to me, that would explain how slow the test was.Originally Posted by justthinking
