[INFO] A1200 has EDGE here's how to enable it

I'm back with results:
I ran the script twice and everything is ok (edge_319.tcs).

First I followed the standard procedure, nothing changed. I had the same speed tested with dslrepoorts.com (avg 22kbps) and performance.toast.net (avg 28kbps).

Second I ran the script without sim card and antenna off. The dslrepoorts.com (avg 25kbps) and performance.toast.net (avg 50kbps) <- and this is the major difference (50kbps average, not the highest).

i went to the same site and chose the iphone speed test.....highest i've got 87kps........lowest 64kps.

try the simple mobile speed test to see the results. now i get on performance.toast.net even 115 kbps

Posting from my A1200 and getting around on average 130kps on the iphone test.

i have an a1200 too and i do do everything that this forum says to do to activate edge but its still not working. it says complete at the end i restart the phone but i still see a G instead of a E

two things, 1st, list what you HAVE done so that we can help you of figure out if you've missed anything. 2nd, list WHERE you are and what service you are using, if you arent in EDGE coverage, your phone won't change from "G" to "E"

Yes I know this is an old thread but I am a newbie. So ... after reading all the posts I installed Radiocomm 11.1 from the link. It asked me the connection style and stg like 3G, 3GSM .... GSM etc. and I choose GSM at the end. I ran the script with success and now have a big E on screen. BUT it never gets a green color nor underlined ?
Is this color change essential to indicate that EDGE is really working ? Beforehand I had G and it was again in grayish color like the E now ?
So what ? Is everything OK ?
