[INFO] Various fonts for A1200

Here you go folks, finally managed to upload them.

ok so i managed to get the fonts working but there seeems to be a problem with the size or alignment of any font i use in my phone, the click and hold menu of anything is too big to see all text and the clock in the main screen is a little bit disaligned to the right how can i fix this?

Just an update since it hasn't been mentioned in this post in a while....APPLYFONT.pkg DOES work on generic 53p while the STARTUP1.txt method still doesn't, i STILL have a problem similar to monkeyDonkey in that any font i apply @ any size displays the last digit of time on the main screen too far to the right...any ideas how to correct?

Hi,
Have you changed the text size of your phone to "Large"? If that is the case, reduce the text size to "medium" or "small".

nope, hadn't changed it to large but strangely enough, after a few resets and apply fonts, it's sorted itself out.. THANKS

I have seen people mention both startup1.txt and startup.txt. Which is it?. Also what tells the a1200 to actually execute this script? I have followed the instructions but no luck with generic 53p.

Hello!
After a while I decided to try to change fonts on the phone, so followed the Sticky and this thread, downloaded the chicago_heiti fonts by torkuhl (thanks man), then follow the procedure.
D'oh nothing happened =)

Here's my startup file:

if [ -f /mmc/mmca1/myfont.ttf ]
then
mount --bind
/mmc/mmca1/chicago_heiti.ttf /usr/language/fonts/AMCSL.TTF
fi

If you have suggestions and/or corrections let me know =)

But then, while waiting to solve this, I've downloaded the ApplyFont and using that like a charm, it's a great app!
