Arrow [APP] MotorolaSETUP - sends txt msg to carrier. Returns internet/mms settings

I have sold my a1200 and I'm waiting on the Nokia N95. Right now I am using the Motorola Z3 and I found something really good on it that anyone that has motorola can use. It's called MotorolaSETUP. It is a java program you run and it sends a text message to the carrier you are using to get the internet settings and mms settings. It sets it all up for you so you don't have to enter anything anymore. I have used it for Cingular, T-Mobile, FIDO, MoviStar, and Orange. I know it woks. I'll be checking in once in awhile to see if I can help with anything. Peace

Its a standard java application. Install like a normal java app.

i want an n95..... But for the price it is ive seen on ebay... I want an lcd tv...

Let us i know how the n95 compares to the a1200. The n95 phone does look like a beast. Good luck and thanks for sharing your gift!

  7. Default did anyone try this?

    Did this work for you?
The app asks to send an SMS to a number in australia (+6142884629. Later I received a software update that asked for a PIN number from my provider (which I didn't have).

Thanks for the setup program, I ran it on my phone (Fido) it sent the text message and came back with an update 2 minutes later. I put in my network pin 12345 but it errors trying to update. Did you have this program work successfully on Fido ?

I wasn't the one that did FIDO it was a customer that came into my job and I installed in his phone and I told him if he got it to work to call the store to let me know. Which he did. If he calls again cuz he calls here all the time t order unlocked phones ill ask him what he did. If it has a pin have you tried 0000 or 00000 or 1111 or 11111. If not just call y our provide and ask them for the network pin. They should have it on hand.

This is not working for people because the JAD is missing and the JAD sets parameters for the handset when the app is installed.
