JStarDict found lexitron now. first I got your src but It have many file. and I'm too busy to find where is a problem. so Just asking you.

so if 3 files name from dict file is lexitron-et-2.0.*
folder name should be
stardict-lexitron-et-2.0-2.4.2 or
rename 3 files to lexitron-et.*

is this correct?

and I install jStar dict into my pc instead of online http://dict.longdo.com too. It's very fast than my old lexitron java dict.

Just released 0.5.1-pre, I have fix the name issue in it. So you don't need rename file names after upgrade to 0.5.1-pre. You can get the new version from http://sf.net/projects/jstardict. If you have install the old version, you need just replace the jStarDictM.jar file installed in your phone.

But I suggest you search for a usable dict from http://stardict.sourceforge.net/Dictionaries.php if there is.

thank again for fast update. test 0.5.1 and It found many of my dict.

I found bugs too.

1. JStarDict cannot run in Manufacturer domain. It always ask for read and write everytime it read and write file. so application cannot use coz It always asking asking.

with Manufacturer domain midlet will not asking for permission anymore. pls make JStarDictM to run in Manufacturer domain.

2. Manage Dict does not refresh search word. first time I install 6-7 dicts. I try search some word like Thailand result shown only english explain but It should be have a thai result from lexitron. but when I remove some dicts and remain only lexitron et and te. result of thailand is still in english. I need to restart midlet to get a result in thai from lexitron.

3. Manage Dicts can not tapping on screen. I need to select enable/disable from menu.

and some more question. how many result can JStarDictM display for 1 word search. and which dict's result display first?

See step 6 in http://www.teesoft.info/content/view/18/25/lang,en/. You can't skip it. In application list ,long click the jStarDict icon, select
manage/permisions, you should change the user data read and user data
write to Never Ask. You have to click the box to select Never Ask. Even there are only one option and the options are already list as Never Ask.
If it still not work please try to uninstall and reinstall the jar.

On the Search form, it only show the explain from the first matched dict. You can change the dict order in dict manager. Or you can click the Details command to show the explain in all dicts.
The enable/disable issue is a know issue. It's just a work through solution. It will be changed later.

Hi everybody, AT LAST!!!! after days of trying I could make this Marvelous software JstarDict work in my A1200i with a R532L4_G_11.40.1.ARBP
firmware.

It's funny but I did this:

1.- Download the jStarDict_0.5.1-pre, this zip has also a software for a comun PC. http://sourceforge.net/projects/jstardict

2.- Unzip this file on the desktop

3.-Download desired dictionaries at http://stardict.sourceforge.net/Dictionaries.php

4.- unzip the .dict.dz file int the same folder using 7zip and make the
name correct if needed. For examle if your dz file named abc.dict.dz then
the unzipped file should be abc.dict.

5.- Open the JstarDict FOR PC, add the desired dictionary downloaded before, the software should find it and also be able to use it with this software.

6.- Click on Export Dicts. Enable Package to Jar. Disable Split Large Files (both paths should be .....\jStarDict\jStarDict_0.5.1-pre\JavaMe). The points ...... should be the path to your desktop.

7.- There, you should find a Jar file with the name "jStarDictM-withdicts.jar"

8.- Copy and install that file (Change the permision of the program with Java Hacker) "DON'T RUN THE PROGRAM YET!"

9.- Also, silly and don't know why, make a directory on the root of your phone (Trans flash of course) called "dict".

10.- Copy in the dict folder the dictionary(s) folder with the files of the dictionaryes (ifo , .idx and a .dict) that you want, for example:

H:\dict\Langenscheidstardict-ldaf-2.4.2\ldaf.ifo
H:\dict\Langenscheidstardict-ldaf-2.4.2\LDaF.dict
H:\dict\Langenscheidstardict-ldaf-2.4.2\ldaf.idx

11.-In application list ,long click the jStarDict icon, select

I can't run some dicts downloaded from the link adviced
stardict-dictd-web1913-2.4.2 (this dict is like 130 Mb)
stardict-freedict-eng-deu-2.4.2
stardict-babylon-NEW_Babylon_German_English_dictionary-2.4.2

And for this dictionary:
stardict-dictd_www.freedict.de_eng-spa-2.4.2
It can only translate from english to spanish, not from spanish to english (is there a way to use the same dictionary to translate from spanish to english?).

Hey nightwend, once again, GREAT WORK! it's incredible to have a 114 000 words translated in your phone with only 1 dictionary!!! imagine with 10 or more dicts!

It's funny but I did this:

You don't need to Enable Package to Jar. You can use jStarDictM-.jar directly. The Package to jar are used to the phones which don't have a tf/sd card. And there are some bugs in it, I will let it work in the feature. Currently package to jar will only waste your space in the jar.

And I suggest you enable Split Large Files and copy the exported folder to your phone. Thus I guess you can use a larger dict. I never try 130m, but try a 70m dict. It works.

Use the PC version to export with split files, and copy the exported file to your phone may make it work. But I am not sure. You may need to modify a phone config to let the jvm use more memory, follow this is your have hacked your phone:

You need a spa-eng dict. stardict dict is one way dict. You can try to find some kdic/zdic dict too. This app support kdic format too. You just need copy the pdb file to dict folder in your tf card root.

how about JStarDict display results from all loaded dicts in the same search. and indicate result by dict name like

search: Thailand

result:
th (dict1_name)
thailand (dict2_name)
thai (dict2_name)

but prolbem is almost dict have a long name. :P
