looks like you already have the .system folder with mpkg setup right, so move the loader_a1200.pkg, mystuff_a1200.pkg and nosound_a1200.pkg files from the .system folder to the root of your TF card. You cant see them (thus run them) when they are in the .system folder.

Put the card back in your phone and turn it on, In File Manager go to your TF card, tap and hold on loader_A1200.pkg until the menu pops up and choose 'Open With'. Scroll through the list till you find Mpkg and choose it. Make sure you check off "Always use this program to open this filetype" and click OK.

Done, now all you need to do is tap a .pkg file and it will run! You do the same procedure to run .lin files with Loader and so on.

I must be missing a step - You said - put the Flash back into your phone - are you loading stuff onto it from a reader? - I'm jsut connecting it via USB. I moved the files to the root - they were there - but I still don't have the MPKG to choose "as always" it's not listed - I definitely didn't install that properly. Thank you for your assistance.

nevermind the put it back in your phone part, you got that right. Did you turn your phone off and then back on after copying over the .system file? if not do that.

my fault - I didn't overwrite a couple of the otehr files in teh java dir - got it working now - now for the install. thanks a ton!

once again - thanks for the help. Got it working - seems it might be a bit quirky / flickery - but I have to load some avis- was curious to see about my preexisting .RM files- but i think Real Player took over behind the app. I will play later. I love you guys!

I cannot cd to /usr/lib/ezx, I get a permission denied error.

I ran a script on the phone instead and this is what I get

Gawd, how ugly... Then it seems that on your phone the only apps that can use the libraries in /usr/lib/ezx/lib are those run as root. So all of your QT apps must be run as root. Why this is not uniform across all phones I don't know, and what such a policy does to the inherent security features of unix, I don't want to know. The way around this would be to use the start-stop-daemon function to run zmplayer as root. Bragon is the packager so I'll leave him with that task , in any case we have a few additional improvements to the code and will probably release a new version so in any case...

actually its the other way I think, logged in as root through telnet I cant even get into that folder, running scripts on the phone runs as ezx so thats how I got that

I'm currently playing on my A1200 a 25fps 240x320 avi with 200kbps of video and 95kbps of audio coded with the xvid codec of mencoder without loosing a single frame. I don't think there should be flickering problems if the videos are coded appropriately..

cd /mmc/mmca1/.system/QTDownLoad/zmplayer
zmplayer.sh

and see what happens? If it works then the fix should be relatively easy..
