for the sound checkout the updated posted version it should work
alternatively you can remove in /mmc/mmca1/.system/QTDownLoad/zmplayer/.mplayer/config
the line ao=null

the mplayer binary provided will work on e680i but not zmplayer frontend.
Please checkout the a780 version poster on the a780 forum for a start and report issues.

Bragon, it runs well on my E680i. Unfortunately I cannot give screenshots of the video-playing, but here's a screenshot of ZMPlayer's Main Menu. Very very cool in my opinion. Four thumbs up!

I use A780 version, btw. Will try and resolve the volume issue. Hope it works. I'll report soon.

[EDITED] Aaah, I see you removed the A780 version from this thread. Should I continue giving report here, or in A780 forum?

Has anyone running 48p got this working? I dont know if thats the problem but I have not had any luck getting this to run, this is what I have tried:

I had mpkg installed already and have used it to install many pkg files, installed zmplayer, rebooted, opened an AVI with Open With zmplayer and i get nothing, if I click the icon in the menu the hour glass comes up and then nothing.

I also tried putting Yan0's .system folder with mpkg on a second TF card and just install zmpalyer incase there was a problem with something else on my regular one, but same results.

Any suggestions?

Do want is necessary to be able to login by telnet (see other threads) and then run zmplayer from the telnet session as

cd /mmc/mmca1/.system/QTDownLoad/zmplayer
./zmplayer.sh

and see what happens. One of several things might happen that might identify what the problem is.

1) It runs.. In this case the problem is with the mpkg install and the A1200 is not seeing this as a signed application and so doesn't allow it to run from the Application Manager
2) It doesn't run. This has two subcases
2a) Error messages come from the zmplayer process itself. The most probable error is that zmplayer says something about unresolved symbols. In this case there is a difference in the libs between 48P and the 44P firmware this was developed on. Knowing what the unresolved symbol is might allow this to be resolved
2b) The mplayer process itself doesn't run. I consider this unlikely as mplayer is a static build.

For 48p users, please report the output of
cd /mmc/mmca1/.system/QTDownLoad/zmplayer
./zmplayer.sh
when telneting on the phone. This is the only way we can make progress since I have no plan yet to migrate on 48p.
