Guess what, i also have the same..
nothing helped then oneday
opened realpayer ->setup->network setup then in the drop down menu selected my data network.It worked..
But previously it was selected but didn't worked maunally do it then it works!!!!!!

if u don't select the realplayer data network manually,
It will give a error "the selected file cannot be played" even if it is .3gp file from m.youtube.com..
