What do you mean by junk? bad font(missing font), wrong characters(bad language encoding)? Do you have a screenshot?

it's actually chinese, your font is missing chinese. I'm having the same problem now!! I flashed to Qtopia yesterday and flashed back but now foxalarm is Chinese - I installed the same file as last time, but can't figure out whats happening this time!
