Arrow [APP] OverClock - increases clock frequency (makes A1200 faster)

Hey guys, I managed to make it work, and I was so happy I wrote a small script to toogle it... I also packed it into an PKG. First click and ding sound, overclocked, second click and dingdong, old apmd back...

Note: This stuff really USES your battery, when you turn it on, you'll notice even your display gets brighter, I also do not know if this can damage the processor, so USE IT AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!

Note2: Also, when you turn it on, even if you turn it off using my app, the clock frequency won't go completely down, the only way to make sure is to reboot your phone (but the old apmd will be running after you turn it off).

Note3: Its my first app, so, be nice, it will probably have bugs...

Do you have the source code of apmd daemon? Can you share it?

Wow, noticed a bug, the "apmd" program must be copied to phone to work properly (and not freeze USB Mass Storage Mode). The problem is, my script would not remove the new apmd from /tmp/apmd, even after uninstall...

So, this version remove the new apmd from phone when you disable it...

Note4: to run this, you'll need 21KB free on the phone...

EDIT: New version moved to first post (thanks Alpha43)

Sorry, I couldn't find the source, but I guess if we can get it, I'll try to reach the guy who made this...

    Yes, I surely did... lol
For the first time I was able to run Sonic Advance 2 fullscreen with sound. It also loaded a LOT faster.
I played for a long time, and never noticed any "smell" like a user reported, the phone wasn't hot either. And yes, I noticed improved performance, but I'm not crazy, so I toogle it off as soon as I don't need that "horsepower".

Me too... all games are noticeably faster, but theres still some hiccups when playing with sound on. My phone doesn't even get hot, maybe because it's freezing cold here.

The app works great NightCrawler, thanks!!

ahahahhaha its feezing cold in Brazil and even more in Argentina, beleave me! i said to a united state motorola customer we are in WINTER here jahahahahaa.

Im waiting to see more beta testing before i put it in my Ming. There is a lot of questions: batt usage, procesor damage, what about the screen even lighter... i wanna see more results or more versions. One thing is for sure: THIS APP HAS FUTURE.
