I mean where we can find this application source code. For most people, maybe application binary is enough but not for a developer like me. We can make this application better (add a new feature, fix a bug, better UI, etc) or take a part from this application for another/new application only if we have an access to the source. The thinking time of other developers is precious. "Creative brains are a valuable, limited resource. They shouldn't be wasted on re-inventing the wheel when there are so many fascinating new problems waiting out there." -- Eric Steven Raymond. Yea, I have read "How To Become A Hacker" so many times, over and over We can't claim a contribution to the community without source code. People who comes from open source world will understand my above statement by easy

Look at FBReader development. FBReader develovers are very talented, have a high class source code but a person like me (have no good C++ knowledges base, have no formal education as a programmer, my English not good enough) still can contribute to make it better. I am pretty sure FBReader for A1200 base on my 0.7.4 source code. This application known working on Z6 also, base on my source code. eKonsole working on A1200 long before I have A1200 device (thanks admin) because the source code available. I can made xmms, rockbox, sysinfo, etc working on our device because the source code available. eXMMS early available for A1200 because the source code available (thanks donga). Rockbox more compatible to E2 because the source code available (thanks arctu). So, share your knowledge please! My English so bad, sometimes I can't make a good documentation for my application but I am sure source code can speak better

    Dear blackhawk
Thank you very much for your reply. I now understand you and fully second you. However, I have a minor criticism, if I may. I put a simple question to you regarding the impact of eXmms on the volume of A1200 (in post #245 of the following thread: http://www.motorolafans.com/forums/s...=12429&page=25), but got no reply at all. Your answer could help a better understanding of the phone's behavior and somehow improve it. By the way, one more thing: I think one of the most needed application for A1200 is an ANSWERING MACHINE, which plays our pre-recorded message, and then records the other party's voice message. I guess that would be an easy exercise for you and other knowledgeable fellows we have in this forum. However, I don't know why nobody cares to develop this particularly useful utility! Anyhow, I hope you and others continue your support of this fantastic phone.
    regards

I understand you, but I am not the author
I made the translation using deprivation HEXEDITOR and translator from Chinese into English

Recent Chinese have a fairly interesting programs, but all of them initially in the Chinese language, as far as possible, we try to transfer them but not always see that as much sense as not relevant for a given platform: (

    Among those programs
SoftManager, XPTools , eXmms player, Mfile, Qtar, SysSetup

I myself would be happy povleniyu their source, as well as using them can be made more accurate and informed interpretation, and not afraid to hurt extra byte in skompilirovanom annex, and no wonder, not anymore whether to transfer part of the functional murder
