Please note that it is not really a zip file. It is a pkg. I added ".zip" to the name to be able to upload the file.

oh one more thing i don't really notice a difference in my ringer volume and music isn't that loud. Ear piece volume is ok at +3 or +4 but i have loud speaker at +8 and still can't notice a change. what's up?

I guess your firmware is not a generic one. It is a Modded or monsterpack. I mentioned in one of my previous posts that the load speaker volume of such firmwares is not increased by VolSet, unless you modify the numbers in the first row of "drfun_volumetable.cfg.X" (for X =3 to 9 and X=0), and for instance doubling the numbers.

That's exactly what I meant above. However, I'd rather keep the values as low as they are, because the higher the numbers, the more risk there is to harm the load speaker. People can increase the numbers at their own risk!

ok....... I have The Original L4 firmware version that came with the phone. i have the volset version 1.01 installed and i modified the volume table using your example making the final value 16. I noticed some improvement when playing music, but i didn't really notice my ringer volume. which one do i have to modify to improve that? Sorry for all the questions. I don't have the problem with the touch screen sound not working. It still works with the volset active.

1) I don't know volset version 1.01! Would you restate the version no.?
2) I think ringer volume is controlled by the same parameter as music (i.e., the first row of the volume table).
3) It is very strange if the touch screen click is working after using volset (and applying "update sound").
I suspect that volset is not working properly for you, because of what you said about that touch screen click. Could you please report what you see in volset.log, which is created by volset in /tmp?

MyStuff is a utility by which you can access phone's operating system folders incuding /tmp. It is the second attachment of http://www.motorolafans.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=13151.

You can also access /tmp by installing "MyFavorites" from http://www.motorolafans.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=14876

What do you mean by "Copy the Config 3 Vol Set to Volume Table"? Could you explain more what exactly you are trying to do? And, How are you trying to save? Which program are you using for saving?

ok...i have volset working now. after i downloaded your most recent version, edited the registry, and changed the volume table...I noticed a big difference in music and ringer volume. Thank You for all your help
