[APP] Opera Mini 4 Beta 3 released

I have the same FW 24xp30.. I have not problems with Opera 4 Beta 2 and 3..

just dig in the forum.. there is a font file + applyfont software...you need to run the font using the applyfont everytime you turn off and turn on the phone for the opera to work properly.

i know about that, thanks, i was trying to figure out how to make this thing permanent, i wouldn't mind doing it that way, but it would make life easier if we could find a way to do it once and for all, i was playing around with some .lin scripts i made...

backup_font.lin

cp /usr/language/fonts/AMCSL.TTF /mmc/mmca1/AMCSL.TTF.bak

backup_fontdef.lin

cp /usr/language/fonts/fontdef.cfg /mmc/mmca1/fontdef.cfg.bak

so i can get the orig. fonts off and back em up to the memory card, but then i tried

insert_font.lin

cp /mmc/mmca1/AMCSL.TTF /usr/language/fonts/AMCSL.TTF

but so far found no way to write to the /usr

now trying telnet to see what i can come up with, tho running vista, getting no luck, i can get everything running, up untill where i open explorer and type: \\192.168.16.2\system
nothing comes up, i can connect, and log in as root, and i know it works because i could do it on my old win2k system, so its vista thats wont let me view the content after the telnet, anyone have any ideas? and sorry if my posts are too long, ive had my phone for about 2 weeks now and have read probably most of this forum, with not much luck on solving the telnet/vista problem, any hints or ideas greatly appreciated.

OK fine. even beta 3 has the same font problem. it kicks itself out at 16%
well i also have a Nokia N70 and when i installed Beta 3 or 2 it never looked up for any font. it was a smooth installation so why we are getting this problem in only our ming?
Even Sony ericsson does nto get this problem..

You can't write to /usr, its write protect, you can write to either /ezxlocal or /ezxuser (taking care not to use up all the space and freeze your phone). So you can write a font into one of these folders, "mount -o bind" the new font over the original font and restart the "am" process (that's what the ApplyFont application do).
