    rto, thanks for the guide. i was trying to find that keycodes too, but the program i used was not able to recognize vol up and down. thanks again.
    now one more question: is there any way to resize application's screen to 240x320. i'm adapting 176x220 app and though i select 240x320 it's output is on the left-top corner of my screen. i think there must be some additional class for that...

    Not sure about resizing, but if it work, in the ADAPT FROM, select the phone model the program was written for. For 176x220, I would think Motorola VXXX would work. I have only used AUTO and check, "Else - default profile".

    For touchscreen support, you must update the files from lubomyr's post #18. Choose, Motorola Touch Screen (Style 2), & 240X320. From www.getjar.com, get program KeyCodes.jar. Make a copy & try to adapt this program. Load into phone & run and if successful, you should be able to see codes 48 to 57, pressing different areas of the screen.
    Keycodes.jar installed in phone returns the key codes for the buttons on the phone. A1200 codes: up=-1,down=-2,left=-3,right=-4,fire=-5,volume up=-30,vol down=-31, smartkey=-5. No codes were reported camera, vr, send & end buttons.
    I was trying to find a code that would bring up the pop up keyboard when needed, but have not been successful.
    When i select MOtorola Touch Screen (Style2) and do the adapting process, after this when i install the app it is not touch screen nothing has changed ... i am not able to use the app .... it works as if it was not touch screen at all .... so i dont think so the keycodes.jar will be adapted ..... or maybe i am doing the adapting process incorrect al together ... but i will try this keycodes.jar and see ..... thanks for the reply ... let me try ....

    Select Model -> A1200
    [Update Jam Using http://www.motorolafans.com/forums/a...&d=1191754791]

    credit to rto1170, who wrote: Great program for touch screens. To simulate * & # , I used the volume up & down key. I created a new profile, A1200.ini (Map Folder) & Jam.ini .
    I copied MotorolaTouch 2.ini , changing Button * from 42 to -30 (volume up) and Button # from 35 to -31 (down) to create A1200.ini .
    ]

    Screen Size-> 240X320

    Adapt From Model -> Auto

    SELECT Else-default profile

    Options -> DON'T SELECT ANYTHING

    Try using these settings... works fine for me for everything... any problem, report back to this topic...

    Are you sure it was not invalid to start with? I have renamed a xxxx.bak file back to xxxx.jar and it installed fine. (Note - you do not need Jad file to install on A1200)
