    Sorry Yield - misunderstood your question.

    Does auga_john's latest post answer it?
    FW1: R532_G_11.00.53P
    FW2: Hybrid e16Xr

    @ Yield
    That's exactly what you have to do. But please do a little search and find out what a swap is, IT IS NOT A DIRECTORY, it is a binary file or partition.

    @ auga_john
    I've made a stupid mistake (which will be fixed soon in the next release) in the apps script.

    Please put it like this
    Code:
    HD_DIR='/mmc/mmca1/MING Media Package India/app/asi/asian'
    and this
    Code:
    UNHD_DIR='/mmc/mmca1/MING Media Package India/app/asi/.asian'
    As you can see I just put single quotes on the file path.
    And you made a mistake, if you look at your previous post you divided directories with a backslash ( \ ) , please use slashes ( / ) from now on.

    Thanks guys, finally got it working once I used crimson editor instead of wordpad. Just curious - is it supposed to make a noise like swap manager claims? Like Ding when it's created and Ding Dong when you end it? It says swap created successfully so I assume it's working but I don't hear anything.

    No, it doesnt make noise if its succesful. I avoided using sounds because when you are in a quite place like school you cant control the apps sound output.

    Best tutorials you can get are in the stickies.

    Bad documentation makes even the best software unusable.

    Now that I have gotten that out of the way I am facing a problem. I created the swap folder and pointed to the correct location in the lin file however the swap file does not get created automatically.

    So to get around this I used vim to create a empty binary file however this does not work either. Can someone explain what I am doing wrong so that I can update this thread with instructions

    FYI here is what the line looks line in HP.lin

    SWP_FILE=/mmc/mmca1/swap/swap.bin

    and here is what the directory looks line on the mmc

    ~ngore$ ls -la /Volumes/NO\ NAME/swap/swap.bin
    -rwxrwxrwx 1 ngore ngore 0 Oct 23 01:59 /Volumes/NO NAME/swap/swap.bin

    So what I am doing wrong?
