E680i have /tmp/VersionInfo file. You can try on A1200:

cat /tmp/VersionInfo

[Yield]

Can someone enlighten me on what exactly needs to be changed in the hp.lin file for the swap function to work? Not sure what directory I'm suppposed to change that too.

editing wit wordpad freezes the application..doesn't open at all after that..i dont have any other unix compatible editors..any solution???

is the issue of the hiding appln freezing up when you change the folder destination still there or was it cleared up in the new version?

Plz throw some light on this issue.

dont want to waste such a gud appln by changing the directory in the hp.lin file.

hey it freezes only wen u edit it wit sum linux incompatible editors (even word pard is incompatible)
use crimpson editor (link is above - its a freeware) n see it workin like a charm
