Volset - change the volume on your A1200

Below is the app, but I don't like the software very much. It doesn't do what it was supposed to. On my phone (44p) in some cases the volume is actually lower after running the app than after boot, when I try to make it louder, and even if I select to have it at the default level. Some apps (like FBA) can make loud sounds even when the volume is set to lowest. And, I can't set the volume for the headphones....
So for now, this software doesn't what it promises.
I'd really like a software that turns the ming completely silent.

Building again on the dgenius interface, and this time using volumeup and nosound, here is an interface to control sounds.

Each of the sound types has 3 buttons: low, normal, hi

low sets the level to -128 (actually, I'd really like it to be totally off, but I don't know how to do that....)

normal is the level as it was in the phone to begin with.
High is the level as defined in DrFun's original volumeup.

After you chose the setting you want, click on "Update sound", which will restart the sound server using these settings. The settings themselves are saved even through a phone reboot, but you'll still need to click on "Update sound" after reboot.
The button "Silence camera" turns off the shutter sound of the camera. (This is taken from yan0's program with identical purpose)

If you would like to have higher sound levels than DrFun defined, edit the file drfun_ezx_volumetable.cfg.3

Sorry, I didn't build the rar file correctly. Now, I loaded a new version.

The new rar file should contain just a .pkg file. Install this using mpkg or equivalent (as described in sticky thread "modding your ming")

I guess the modified version of MPKG installer is needed for this too (just as for volumup app).
If you have modified 30p oent version you can install MPKG installer like you can with other fw (it's no problem to have both MPKG and superman) and replace the mpkg.lin file with the modded one from Drfun. after that this app should be installed with MPKG not with superman.

Sorry, I had a bug in the app. It could run from the command line, but not when clicked on, and I didn't catch that.

The new version should work - I tested it with mpkg on 44p. And you are right, volumeup had the same problem, and I didn't notice that it needed a special way of installing.

Anyway - the app should now install & work with the regular mpkg.

Its funny to see you mentioning it as "Great app" without testing. ha ha ha.

I just tested on my Ming and it did not work at all. No effect of anything. looks like someone fooled us with Fake software.
